In an attractive , possibly original frame, and with colours that have survived particularly well this family scene with its musical theme is a very appealing and atmospheric late Georgian or Regency item. Because the backing ( which appears to have been renewed ), is sound and secure , we have not removed it to look inside, but the tapestry itself appears to be in very good , with perhaps fading than one might expect given its age. The frame is in lovely original condition with some losses to the moulding, which, if anything add to its authenticity and charm . Please see photographs.
