£89.53

The falls is on the Palouse River, a few miles from its junction with the Snake River. The falls are about 200 feet and set in a scenic canyon, which is about 400 feet deep. MacMacken describes the trip and, as he was a scientist, relates much about the geology of the area -- the origin of the canyon and falls from glacial floods and various explanations of it; the scablands of dry coulees and dramatic basalt, lava flows, Steptoe Butte, and much more.
