The shaker was made in Birmingham by Barker Brothers and dates to the late 1920s to 1930s. They were based in Birmingham but also had pieces assayed in Chester and London. The underside of the base is stamped EPNS for silver plate and has the clover leaf trademark of Barker Brothers.
