This small Antique German Blue and White Porcelain Cherub Mirror is a unique piece. The mirror features sculptural cherubs (putti) and a cobalt-blue and gold floral motif, bearing a blue "R" mark on the top often associated with Helena Wolfsohn's Meissen-style decorator workshop or the Augustus Rex style. Typically indicates a decorator mark from Dresden/Meissen porcelain outside-decorator studios (like Helena Woltsohn) active in the late 19th century, mimicking earlier Meissen factory styles. The mirror shows some foxing. The cherubs have been repaired - some signs of prior damage. The flower petals - some have got damaged during the years. Please see photos. Size: 17cm x 11cm
