This is a high quality cast iron dish . It is 11.75” in diameter and approximately 1.5” depth. It depicts mythical Greco-Roman figures mermen and sea horses. The casting is clean and clear. There is a hairline crack on the perimeter rim (please see photos) but this is hardly visible and does not detract from the quality of the piece. It may have been made by Buderus foundry, Germany although there is no ID marking. I have considered the crack when determining the price. A great addition to a cast iron enthusiast’s collection.
