This is a very decorative antique oval cast iron dish. At its centre is a cherub entrapped in vines. This motif has Greco-Roman roots: heavily influenced by Bacchus; and is designed to depict fertility. It is 9” x 7.5”, is free of casting crack and is in overall good condition. A great addition to a cast iron enthusiast’s collection.
