Silver-plated Art Nouveau brass vase with a matching glass insert from about 1900, manufactured by the renowned manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik). The slim, cylindrical body rests on a flared, profiled round base and is decorated on the front side with a relief band of pearl bar decoration, ovals and snail motifs. The removable, high glass insert is finely ground and is unfortunately blind (lime veil). On the underside of the stand there is the engraved model number 11675 as well as the contemporary WMF company stamps including the quality and surface designations B, I/O and OX. The vase is in a patinated condition commensurate with its age, with abrasion of the silver plating due to cleaning and slight signs of wear. Dimensions of the glass: approx. 18.5x4cm. Overa.
