Wien Gustav Gurschner Jugendstil Bronze Decorative Bowl Centerpiece

Offered from a private collection on behalf of customers: From the G. Gurschner bronze collection: Viennese Art Nouveau ash bowl or vide-poche, about 1900. The finely patinated bronze shows a kneeling, naked female figure with long, falling hair and an ornamental headdress, holding an organically shaped bowl with a structured outer edge. The artist's signature “GURSCHNER” is embossed on the underside of the bowl. The piece is in a very beautiful, age-appropriate original condition with a fine, characteristically rubbed patina (see photos). Dimensions: approx. 12.2 x 10 x 8.5cm. Weight: 492 grams.
