This is a vintage domed-shaped Wafax copper bedwarmer or foot warmer made in Britain sometime between 1910 and the 1930s. It is about 11cm tall with a diameter of 21cm. The copper bedwarmer weighs 520grams and has a 1.5 litre capacity. It has lots of dents, scratches and age-related wear consistent with long use. The bedwarmer has a Wafax vulcanite (a hard, durable, vulcanized rubber) stopper with a little metal handle. The inside of the vulcanite stopper has cotton thread wrapped around it.
