Illustrations and writing are clear. There are 19 pages with illustrations. The wood covers are 7 1/2" long X 1 5/8" wide. The palm-leaf manuscripts (known as pothi in South and Southeast Asia) were created from the treated leaves of palm trees such as the palmyra or talipot.
