A Vintage manual silver plated crumb sweeper or "silent butler" this handheld, lidded tray is used to sweep up and discreetly dispose of crumbs from a dining table. Popular from the Victorian era through the mid-20th century, designed to keep tablecloths clean between courses. No silver marks, so assume silver plated. A bit of discolouration on inside of lid, otherwise in good condition and usable.
