This tapestry features the city of Rome in the background with the Colosseum in the foreground. Temple ruins and other structures can be seen in surprising detail. This has a “Made in Italy” sticker on the back. The colors are a muted gold/beige and black. This does need to be professionally cleaned as there is some residue on the front that initially looks like the clouds, particularly in the top right hand corner, see photos. There’s also a white line of discoloration, see photos. There are a few small areas of wear, but there are no holes, see photos. Overall this is a nice vintage piece with great detail that could be restored, or left as is with the the imperfections adding to the antique look.
