Vintage Ornate Wrought Iron Elegant Metal Book Stand 14 Inches Tall VGC

An ornate vintage all metal book stand. It has a nice slender elegant look with a tendril like curling framework of wrought iron. The front panel where the book is held has a typical Victorian style scrollwork decoration. It stands upon three legs with ball feet, one which is upon a hinge to lie the item flat when not in use. The stand measures 14 inches tall (36 cm) and 8 inches wide (20 cm). The cavity for the book is about 2 inches or 5 cm thickness which will hold a fairly substantial book, especially when opened. The item is in very good condition all round for its age.
