The dimensions given are total, the mirror itself is 200mm x 280mm. Please note there are two spots where the mirror has failed beneath the glass, with general gold speckled patches all over, perfectly useable, just not perfect. The oval backing is plastic, the rest is brass. The two side knobs secure the mirror in the desired position, they turn, getting them line-up visually is a slight challenge but possible. No hidden dangers, will obviously come well packaged.
