Such lovely craftsmanship went into the making of this box. Note the wonderful brass details around the corners and the brass oval or cartouche on top which could be personalized by engraving. I did not attempt to clean this at all but it looks to be in pretty great condition apart from cosmetically. The brasses can be cleaned using readily available products in your home. You can Google it and find that there are several different ways you can do this very easily. I have used those recommendations myself to good effect with brasses. Just a wonderful piece in the way they don't really make them anymore. (1LR)
