Vintage Chronometer Guard Case

I would date this to the mid 20th Century. Internally there is no upper padding and the lower padding has been fairly roughly tacked into position. Possibly Russian. Maybe 1960s?. It would benefit from a bit of a clean up.Perfectly usable.
