Vintage Cast 'Flat Iron', for restoration, by Thomas Sheldon (Wolverhampton)

£12.94

Antique cast‑iron flat iron. Traditional pre‑electric flat iron used for household laundry in the late Victorian to early 20th‑century period. The maker's name is almost certainly Thomas Sheldon (Wolverhampton) but this is hard to read because of heavy rusting. Solid one‑piece casting with fixed handle. Measures around 5 inches in length. This example has an untouched, original surface with substantial age‑related rusting but remains structurally sound with no cracks or damage. A heavy iron ideal for restoration, decorative display, prop use, or as part of a vintage laundry collection. Sold as pictured. Weight is 2.5Kg approx.
