This is a high quality Continental carved and painted box of bombe shape, standing on 4 cabriole legs. I haven't seen another of this type with such good carving and fine shaping - possibly Scandinavian or from the Balkans. Maybe 50 or 60 years old. Size: 25cm long x 15 cm wide x 9.5 cm high approx. Weight: about 475 grammes Condition : see photos for exact condition: hinges have been reattached with rather ugly screws at the back.
