Vintage Antique Pathfinders Compass And Leather Case Not Working

A genuine vintage compass with its original car. The compass is not currently working maybe needs re magnetising but I know nothing about compasses. The pins move slightly but not correctly as they should. Some verdigris to the metal and case.
