A late Victorian Silver Plated CentrePiece Tazza. A top plate surrounded with rococo edges “A Strawberry Bowl” is raised on figural support modelled as a Putto. I have looked everywhere for a hallmark but it’s so big & there are various places that look like a hallmark but are either faded or still a bit tarnished. Elkington & Co. do an identical item so the best way to describe it is “in the style of Elkington” Simply stunning- see pics. Weighs 1,690 Grams. (1.69kg) Measures 34cm high x 14cm at its base x 24cm in diameter at the top so a very substantial piece. Immaculate bar a patch of discolouration on the top plate.
