This is a beautiful Victorian Pickle caster. Starting at the silverplate crest, is raised bead-work. Traveling down each arm, are beautiful flowers and leaves - extremely ornate. it stands on four pierced and scrolled feet. The insert is marvelous! This glass insert has a swirl and coin spot design. It is complimented with a beautiful hand enamel gold-leaf flowers and leaves, which travel the entire circumference of the body. It stands approximately 11 1/2 inches tall. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks. I see one flea bite on the rim. The manufacturers mark is “Meriden Silver Plate Company, #0639”.
