This LARGE copper circular, flared and domed lid is of excellent quality. The inner diameter would fit a copper pot of 32cm diameter.. The outer diameter of the flared top is 36 cm. It is 7 cm from the base to the top rim. It has been hand made in the traditional way with a braised seam. The lid has a brass handle held by four strong rivets. It is likely to be French in origin. I would have liked to have seen the quality of the actual pot this lid belonged to, probably a stockpot or rondeau pot, no doubt it is out there somewhere. The weight of this quality piece is 2.5 Kilos and it would look wonderful sitting on your kitchen shelf of copperware.
