The listing is for a fine silver plate Victorian biscuit box or biscuit barrel. The container features a reinforced hinge and rimmed cover along with a bone finial. The cover of the box along with the rim and hinge were manufactured separately and slid onto the barrel. This supports the box and hinge. The inside of the hinge is marked Patented. There are no other additional marks that I can see to identify the manufacturer. The biscuit box or barrel features cast and attached feet and saw tooth trim around the base, step and rim along with a bone finial. The inside is clean and usable and the silver plate is shiny and bright. It stands 8 inches tall and measures 8.75 inches wide across the base.
