Two rare 19th century saute cooking pans, formerly of the Savoy Hotel in its early incarnation of the Savoy Grill Room. The pans are stamped SGR 5 & SGR 16 respectively. They were sourced from a retired chef who, on completion of his (presumably unsuccessful) apprenticeship there, decided to liberate the pans in the 1960s. It is a shame he didn't manage the whole set but the weight of these would indicate why not; they're about 8kgs each! They have a deep patina comprising various battle scars. The largest is about 9" in diameter. Dispatched via 1st class.
