Tibetan Buddhist Silver Copper and Brass Ghau Gao Ga’i travelling shrine or prayer box, 19th century With a finely worked, silver front decorated with symbols from Tibetan Buddhism including the kurtimukha or protective monster mask. The window will have housed a small clay deity while the pair of lugs on each side allowed for suspension. Length 10 cm Width 7cm Thickness 4cm In good antique condition. The pins securing the silver front to the back are missing.
