Vintage tapestry wall hanging (not a screen print). Design is on one side. I believe this may have originally been a cushion cover and tabs were sewn on to make it a wall hanging. This decorative European jacquard Le Menestrel, or The Minstrel, represents a minstrel (musician) playing the Harp in a greenery environment. The original was produced by Morris & Co, the design and manufacturing company started by William Morris in the late 19th century. William Morris, the famous English artist has designed many fabrics and tapestries of world renown many of which now reside in the world's most prestigious museums.
