A wonderful Art Nouveau period Austrian Gilt Bronze Vide Poche by Peter Tereszczuk complete with foundry mark AR (for Arthur Rubinstein) Circa 1900/1910 Born in Ukraine in 1875, Peter Tereszczuk was an Austrian-Ukrainian sculptor well known for his Art Nouveau bronzes. The majority of his work was produced between 1895 and 1925 in Vienna. This lovely Trinket dish (Vide poche) features a young girl with an umbrella looking over her shoulder with a lizard nearby. Lovely detailing and patination to the bronze, too. A quality and functional piece of Austrian bronze by an established sculptur, an excellent example! Thanks for looking!
