A beautiful mustard ladle made of sterling silver and decorated on the top of the stem with an etched design depicting a lion holding a ball. It is fully hallmarked on the rear for London 1797. The duty mark used in the hallmark, a feature on hallmarked silver until 1889, is that of King George III.
