The spirit kettle was made in Sheffield by W & G Sissons and dates to between around 1880 and 1920. The firm traced its origins back to Roberts, Cadman & Co, established in Sheffield in 1786. The underside of the kettle and of the burner are both stamped with the bell trademark for W & G Sissons.
