This copper bowl has a mesmerising beaten pattern. It starts around the circumference of the lip to have been created as even indentations with no pattern then in the perpendicular sides, moving into the centre, the pattern appears very different - indentations are slightly elongated towards dead centre. The copper gauge is much thicker than normally found giving it a robust feeling and, of course, it is therefore heavier than you would expect. Whilst the underneath has never been polished, the top has but lightly so creating a dark warm patination. It is approximately 18 3/4cm in diameter and 3cm deep. It is in excellent condition - no damage - all in keeping with its age and usage.
