Rare Victorian Cast Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter ladle Pierced Vine George Adams

£265.90

A stunning cast silver pierced vine pattern sugar sifter ladle made in London between 1840-50 by the much sort after maker George Adams of Chawner and Co, the date mark is difficult to read but by the small size of the leopard's head I think it is 1840 making it the first year of George Adams at Chawner's! It is in fantastic condition and the pattern is one of the most sort after there is. It has a lightly glided bowl and is 7in (18cm) long and weighs 2 3/8oz (68gm). A beautiful and rare ladle.
