A rare early Victorian antique Jaques Of London cast iron door stop of sailor ‘Jack Tar’. Stamped on the base Jaques of London and marked with a registration number for 1853. It is a heavy door stop weighing 3.3 kg. It has the original polychrome paint which has become weathered over time and given it a great patina and look. Although the paint is weathered it does not come off when rubbed with the hand. It is solid and ready to use but please see pics for the patina of the paint and overall condition. 23.4 cm high and 8.7cm wide at the base. Postage worldwide and returns accepted.
