This is one of the most ornate examples I’ve seen, it’s in a very desirable timber Fruitwood, from the right period in France and bobbin turned from head to toe. Originally designed as a music stand, the modern use is usually a very high-end magazine or newspaper rack if you’re looking for the functionality of the piece, most use them simply as art furniture.
