RARE French Spelter Sculpture Émile Nestor Joseph CARLIER (1849-1927)

This sale is for a wonderful Émile Nestor Joseph Carlier (3 January 1849 – 11 April 1927)Spelter Figurine. In the shape of a posy vase or candlestick it is beautifully crafted and bears his signature to the base. Wonderful preserved and looked after during the last 100 years and no damage that I can see. The figurine is a diaphanously draped maiden standing before an aged hollow tree stump. The base adorned with the sculptor creating swirls to flow from the maidens dress C1912-18 Carlie won the Gold Medal at the 1889 Paris Exposition Universelle. A member of the Jury of the Salon of French Artists.
