Rare Domed Antique Hide Covered Document box /Trunk. This all original box is in great condition for its age. It is wood constructed with hid overlay. I am thinking dear but could be wrong. The box has what appears to be hand Forged handles on heart shaped plates. The inside is lined with a Blueish paper with writing in the Dom, with the name LaRue, P, Strong's Genoe, Cayuga County New York. There is no key for the box. Please see all photos as they are a part of the description and listing. The lock at one time had a slide cover but has been broken in years past. The drop down fastener also was gone when I purchased the box and had a wire fastener to keep the box together.
