This is an unusual and very stylish Novelty silver desk combination photo frame / paperweight. Dated Birmingham 1902 made by Charles Penny Brown. The weighted triangular body covered with the original red Morocco leather. The sloping front fitted with a solid planished silver frame incorporating a glazed slot to slide a photograph. Fully hallmarked: Lion passant. Birmingham mark. Date letter "c" for 1902. Condition: Leather in good antique condition. Silver in very good condition with some wear to top edges.
