English lead metal wine glass. Bell bowl with solid base containing 15 air tears in 2 rosettes - clear striations and pucella marks. Double opaque twist stem, comprising of a lace twist surrounded by 2 spiral threads, leading to a conical foot with a snapped pontil. Foot and bowl rim show expected wear for the age. Height 16.9cm bowl 7.3cm foot 8cm weight 274g. The air teared base suggests that this is probably slightly later than many opaque twists c1780.
