SILVERSMITH: WILLIAM CHAWNER. This is a pair of antique Georgian Mustard or Salt Spoons from the George IV period. In the fiddle pattern, the silversmith being the celebrated William Chawner and hallmarked London 1821 The ends of both handles are engraved with an heraldic family crest of the owner possibly a muzzled bear's head.
