A pair of rare Victorian white metal novelty pepperettes in the form of owls, with detachable pierced heads and glass eyes. Only one of the owl heads is detachable sadly, the other seems to have seized on. Maybe it had salt in at one time as there are some green marks on the one that doesn’t come off. In the manner of Richards & Brown London but cannot seem to find a hallmark so listing as white metal. Absolute beautiful craftsmanship. Condition: please see photos. Open to sensible offers.
