Pair of Late 19th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty Yoke-Ebony(Wumu) Chairs. Extremely heavy with beautiful construction. The design takes inspiration from the winged hats of Mandarins during the Ming dynasty with delicate but deliberately formed backrests. To the underside features a hand brushed signature/makers mark which adds a nice touch of authenticity to these stylish chairs. Sensibly restored, outstanding condition. Sold as a pair with minor dimensional variations.
