This is a beautifully carved pair of oak wainscot chairs. The chairs have great presence. The top rails are carved with scrollwork and foliage to all four sides of the panelled backs. The chairs stand on turned legs to the front with plain legs to the rear which are united by stretchers making this a sturdy piece.
