Painted Japanese Table Screen Double Sided Silk Byobu Geisha & Bonsai

Circa 1950 Japanese two-panel folding screen featuring hand-painted silk panels with a gold-tone background. The front side depicts a seated woman playing a shamisen instrument alongside a flowering bonsai tree, while the reverse side displays a larger cherry blossom bonsai in a red pot. Each side is signed with traditional calligraphy and a red seal. The panels are set within a dark wood frame with decorative brass hinges. This piece measures approximately 22.5" wide when fully extended and 17.5" in height. Note a small puncture in the silk on the reverse bonsai side and minor surface wear to the wood frame. Other small spots and west and both sides. Brass accents show patina and wear. See all photos for condition details.
