A beautiful 19th-century Oxford Windsor bar back chair, likely crafted from beech and elm. This "small" version may be an antique child's chair or a salesman's sample. Made with a solid elm shaped seat and a beechwood frame and legs, it has beautiful wear and signs of age. It probably dates to the Victorian era, approximately between 1850 and 1890. Traditional turned legs and splayed supports, reinforced with an H-stretcher for stability, it is very sturdy. The seat is 33.5cm wide, 34.5cm deep and 35.5cm high. The back is 73.5cm tall.
