This is a stunning Persian Victorian dish. Not sure if it would have originally been used as a trinket dish, but would work fabulously as one now. It is plated on the back to a dull finish, likely with pewter, and this will also have been applied to the border patterning on the front, before being wiped away to reveal the raised patterning in copper.
