Unique hand engraved tinned copper plate circa 1940’s Amazing fine artwork meticulously worked onto this 11 1/2 inch x 5 inch heavy copper plate by a Master craftsman at the Royal Standard pottery factory in Longton, Stoke on Trent. This piece depicts four Canadian scenes and back stamps intended for commemorative ware items. An item like this would probably have taken 10 to 14 days to complete and is indeed a small work of art. As the World famous Staffordshire Potteries has lost many of its manufacturers and new technology took over these mini works of art were lost through scrappage and Company loss. This is an opportunity to own a piece of pottery history which if produced today would cost an equivalent £500 to £700 to make. However the selling price is £150 plus P&P UK
