Research has not been completed, and the exact inventor, engineer, or project represented remains unidentified. The drawing is executed in ink on handmade laid rag paper. The reverse contains extensive handwritten Spanish notes along with small pen-and-ink sketches and the date: “22 de Octubre de 1773”.
