c1919 ART NOUVEAU LADY & ROSES BRONZE PLAQUE BY HAMO THORNYCROFT. R.A. This is a beautiful original c1921 ART NOUVEAU LADY & ROSES BRONZE PLAQUE BY HAMO THORNYCROFT. R.A.,a Horticultural Prize by Toogood seedsmen to Queen Victoria.. It is made of CAST BRONZE which has taken on a lovely green distressed patina as seen. Overall it is in excellent condition, I have posted lots of supersize photos so you can see clearly what you are buying. It measures Size 11 1/2" X 6 1/2" Weight approx 1.5kgs . Nice quality original piece of Art Nouveau / Crafts design metal work, Sir Hamo Thornycroft RA (1850-1925) studied in the studio of his parents, Thomas and Mary, who were both sculptors. He entered the Royal Academy Schools in 1869 and travelled to France and Italy in 1871.
