Of the hoard this palstave is the best example and is a most elegant and carefully-cast bronze axe. The hoard consisted of both square- and round-socket looped palstaves. ( and why not?). it has interesting characteristics in the hollow/concave cheeks of the relatively thin centre which are then strengthened by the raised trident and central rib.
