Magnificent Set of Three Late 17th Century Bronze Pricket Candlesticks

Rising from the base is a turned, baluster-form stem, which leads up to the deep, wide drip pan. At the centre of each pan stands the tall, slender pricket spike, tapering to a sharp point, which was used to secure a large, thick candle.
