A beautiful English Arts and Crafts Liberty of London pewter box inlaid with a stunning vignette of a raging sea scape. I’m always delighted to acquire these boxes, every one I’ve ever bought has been a miniature masterpiece. This one dates a to about 1910, it’s velvet lined too, so perfect for jewellery, which I assume is its original purpose. It’s in good original condition, no damage or restoration, some light crazing to the enamel- but perfectly acceptable. Fully marked to the underside with the additional benefit of the Liberty & Co mark too.
